The Mill is in an elevated location surrounded by a swathe of olive groves in the quiet hamlet of Harvata (in Venetian times called Peristeri), about 5km inland from the 'new' coast road (E65).

It is situated about 500 feet above sea level, and offers stunning mountain views to the south and views over the Bay of Chania and the Rodopou Peninsula to the north.

Although The Mill is in a secluded location, it offers easy access to the surrounding countryside and coast. Local amenities including mini markets, baker, tavernas, pharmacy, garage and the like are available in Tavronitis, less than 10-minutes drive from the Mill.

10 minutes from the shops and fishing village of Kolimbari,
20 minutes from the Blue Flag beaches at Platanias and Agia Marina, and

The Mill is equipped with an oil-fired central heating system. It has two triple bedrooms on the Ground floor and two twin bedrooms on the Mezzanine floor - all bedrooms feature an en-suite bathroom. The beds are purpose made and of traditional Cretan design.

One of the twin bedrooms on the Mezzanine floor has its own private terrace with stunning views over the Bay of Chania.

The Mill has its own private garden to the rear of the property from which is accessed the terraced swimming pool (9.5 x 5.0m) with sun loungers and parasols. The depth varies from about 1.4m to 2.2m. There is also a small 60cm-deep paddling area adjacent to the main pool.
