Kalamaki is the westernmost part of a long beach situated on the northwest coast of Crete just 6 kilometers west of Chania, between Chania and Agia Marina. There's a small church and a snack bar on a pier, and a view of the island of Agii Theodori. It's also a mooring place for yachts.
The beautiful beach of Kalamaki has fine sand and shallow water. It is very well organized, with umbrellas and sun beds, showers, lifeguard, accommodation and food services, beach bars, water sports, etc. This beach is a sandy beach which is 2,5 kilometers long. The water is clear and the beach is suitable for people with children. It's not too busy, also because of the beach being so long.
Beside the western edge of the beach, a separate small cove is formed, separated from the main beach by a narrow strip of sand. Two stunning nearby sandy beaches in Stalos and Glaros are well organized with numerous beach front restaurants and bars as well as all the top activities to satisfy your appetite in the most amazing way.
