Book a viewing - CLICK HERE!!!
A key step to buying overseas is finding the perfect property that ticks all your boxes. Before you can be in a position to make an offer, you have to visit the area and view available properties - a viewing trip, if you will.
If you'd like to view any of our properties in Greece, please contact us as soon as you know the dates of your visit. The earlier you contact us, the better your selection of properties will be. If you need any assistance or have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Once your flights are booked, fill in our "booking form" on the website with your requirements and details. We can connect you with our trusted partners and help you steer clear of being railroaded into properties that don't suit you or your budget. We will arrange an exact meeting time and place for the viewing.
Viewing a property:
The steps are as follows:
• Have a look at our website and choose some properties to view. Or let us know what you are looking for and we will suggest some to you.
• Book your trip to Greece and let us know the details (arrival and departure dates, name of accommodation if possible) so that we can book your viewing date as soon as you have booked your flights.
• You can either fill in our Book Viewings form or email/telephone us with all of your details.
• We will book the property viewings and confirm everything in writing per email, writing including a meeting time/place and contact details.
Please take to Greece your passport or ID for EU citizens, a couple of recent utility bills (electric and water) and if possible some proof of your tax number (e.g. P60 or tax return).
• In Greece our colleagues will drive you from the meeting place (normally their office) to view all the properties.
• They will answer all of your questions and can introduce you to various experts if required such as builders and architects.
• If you decide to put in an offer, we will help to get you the best price.
• If you have your offer accepted, we will help you with the buying process including appointing a lawyer.
Please do not wait until you are in Greece to contact us as dates get booked up in advance and we also often have to arrange keys and access to properties in advance. The other advantage is that if we know what you are looking for in advance, we can make sure you also see any new bargains which may just be coming on to the market.
If you have any questions or we can help you in any way, please contact us.
Viewing for construction:
The steps are very simple:
- Arrange your visit to Greece and fill in the "Book Viewings" form.
- Our colleagues will meet you in Greece, show you the various plots of land, and discuss the options for each one.
We will introduce you to some well-regarded local architects/builders, who will typically proceed as follows:
• You can be shown many properties which they have previously built, so that you can be assured of the quality.
• You will see various property designs which you can choose from. You can alter them of course or go for something completely different.
• Once you decide what you want, the whole process to delivery of a completed property can take about 10-12 months once the permit is in place.
• You pay when defined stages are met during the building process.
• You can select from a choice of tiles and finishings.
• You get the keys in your hand.
How do I make an offer on a property?
- If you put in an offer, this will be put to the seller and once a price is agreed, we will help you through the whole process, it is very straightforward.
- We will suggest some local English speaking lawyers to you based on previous client feedback but you are free to choose whoever you prefer. We do not use "tied" or in-house lawyers as we find this unethical. We do suggest that you appoint a local lawyer so that they know the region and do not have to travel a long way which would add to your costs.
- Once you have instructed your lawyer, the rest of the purchase process can be completed over the telephone or via mail when you are back home.
- More details of the buying process are under "The Buying Process".
