Traditional stone house for renovation in Agios Konstantinos Rethymno.

This detached stone house in aristocratic old style is waiting for renovation and preservation of its characteristics.

This property is situated in Agios Konstantinos, a traditional Cretan village 20 km from Rethymno town and 10 km from the well-known sandy beach of Episkopi.

INTERIOR

The property has 2 buildings, one on each side of the road, linked by an interesting stone arch, that creates a terrace right above the street.
The total building area is 234,02m2:

- One building of 174,11m2 on 2 floors consisting of 88,49m2 on the ground floor and 85,62m2 on the first floor.

- The second building is 59,91m2 on 3 levels, each level of 19,97m2.

The land is 240,76m2 (220,79m2 of the land on a side and 19,97m2 on the other side).

The property offers 135m2 of garden and the possibility to build a swimming pool and other outside facilities.
The house has been built in a Cretan traditional style using natural stone and wood.

Lots of interior and exterior old features have been preserved waiting for renovation.
Still very good in fundamental condition, conserving almost all traditional elements, this house could be considered an unexploited treasure.

The property is situated inside the village, into an authentic traditional Cretan atmosphere surrounded by genuine, natural landscape and it could be turned into a beautiful home for relaxation, holiday, into a home for permanent living or even into a touristic accommodation business.

THE AREA

Agios Konstantinos is a village in the prefecture of Rethymno, located approximately 22 km southwest of the city of Rethymno, near Zouridi, shortly before Roustika.
Built on a wide plateau at an altitude of 250 meters and stretched upon a magnificent location, verdant in olive trees, vineyards, carobs, cypresses and other forest trees, Agios Konstantinos has been here since ancient times.

Many preserved buildings testify the Venetian presence in the area, such as Venetian fountain of Barozzi, the ruins of the Venetian mint, as well as the ruins of a Byzantine monastery and a mansion.

The approximately 200 residents of Agios Konstantinos are engaged in cultivating olives and carobs and in livestock products.

There are also restaurants, cafes, mini-markets, a butcher shop, a bakery and production units of furniture, carpentry, stockbreeding and traditional sausages in the area.
