EXTERIOR
The main entrance to the property is via the village road and there is a parking spot here. The double iron door opens into a cozy and colorful courtyard with a lovely sitting spot, the ideal place for peace and relaxation. This courtyard then gives access to the studio/room to the Left, to the living room on the Right and a pretty external staircase at the end of the courtyard, gives access to the upper floor.
The second courtyard is very spacious and also gets access from the living room or through an old wooden door which opens onto the small village road. A lovely external dining area is setup here, with "U" shaped built-in benches!
THE AREA
The village of Vouves is separated into upper Vouves and lower Vouves, where the house is positioned. A very peaceful village within the hills and surrounded by a sea of olive trees!
Upper Vouves is famous for the ancient olive tree in the village square, a tree more than 3.000 years old, and still producing high quality olive oil. In this square is a small cafeneon which also offers daily snacks.
The village of Spilia is just a 4 minute drive down the hill and has numerous restaurants and tavernas, as well as a small super market for the daily amenities.
For even more amenities, the larger villages of Tavronitis and Kolymbari, are just a 10 minute drive, and offer all kinds of facilities such as cafes, restaurants, gas stations, doctors, local market (every Friday morning), post office, local bus transport and many more. The beaches of Tavronitis and Kolymbari are more peaceful, while the famous beach resort of Platanias with its numerous beach bars, shops, water sports, hotels etc, is just a 15 min drive.
